Our Story

A quiet rebellion against the clinical.

Vivette's founder with her grandmother

Founded 2026 — United Kingdom

Vivette began with a refusal. A grandmother, fiercely independent and unmistakably herself, refused to install the white plastic grab rails her family kept suggesting. Not because she didn't need support — she did — but because everything on offer felt clinical, stigmatising, and somehow not hers.

Her home had been built up over fifty years of taste and care. She wasn't going to let it become a hospital ward.

We started Vivette to change what supportive homeware looks and feels like. To make pieces that protect dignity as carefully as they protect the body. Pieces designed for homes — not hospitals.

Our craft

Every Vivette piece is made in small workshops in the United Kingdom from FSC-certified European oak. We work with cabinet makers, not factories. With occupational therapists, not marketing departments.

We believe ageing well at home is one of the most important design challenges of our time. We intend to spend the rest of our careers on it.
